[Keiko has her hands in a bowl when Hana nudges her leg. Considering that she's up in the middle of the night like half of Johto lately, it isn't too surprising that she jumps. Bits of flour, sugar, and butter flying everywhere and sticking to the backsplash and littering the counter with uncooked sweetness. She doesn't shriek and that is definitely something she is incredibly proud of when she sees the Mightyena. Rubbing her hands clean of the beginnings of cookie dough Keiko reaches to pet Hana's head. The soft for between her fingers made her wish that she'd thought to have Kurama come down with her. He was probably worried pacing her room and possibly waking up her friends. Still she didn't turn around immediately; Keiko could still clearly see Yusuke as the terrifying purple monster of her nightmares.
She's scared. What if the monster's still there, peeking over his shoulderdespite once more despite being awake? She can't face that, the possibility that her best friend is a drooling monster intent to finish his job, it sends shivers racing down her spine. Kneeling down she buries her face in Hana's shoulder buying another minute. When she finally looks up there's a tension in her expression that he probably isn't too familiar with where Keiko is concerned. She gives him a visual once over, searching for the slithering parasite. The fact that she can't see it only slightly eases her mind.]
Yeah. I had the weirdest dream.
Could you uh turn around for a moment I need to check something.
[Of course by weird she means terrifying. It isn't everyday you dream about parasitic demons turning your friends into monsters bent on killing you. Logically, she knew this was all just subconscious worries and scares playing out in one hell of a brutal whammy, but she couldn't quite quiet the voice that was telling her to make sure she was in the waking world. That the demons weren't playing a cruel game with her to make the torment last longer. Which was why she was going to poke him and see if he turned purple. It was a brilliantly stupid plan but the only one she could come up with considering how messed up her sleeping habits were of late.]
